What story do you tell yourself about your childhood? How did you feel as a child? Truth! Does it enhance who you are, or does it limit you in any way?
Next month I’ll be traveling back to Scotland where I grew up. Reflecting on my childhood, one of the things I loved most was our family get-togethers – the stories, the singing, the poetry, the warmth, sharing, the sense of community. The stories were full of magic, anything was possible! The heroes were, of course, strong, handsome, courageous Scottish warriors, with big hearts (like Jamie in ‘Outlander’) and the lassies were, of course, all bonnie!
It’s funny that today there is still a thread around stories for me. Working with clients to understand who they are, inevitably we look at childhood experiences, the stories, the beliefs, how they shape us – and how our perception impacts, and can trip us up.
If you’re finding that life is a struggle, emotionally you’re easily upset, you’re experiencing a challenge – money, relationships, work – contact me and we can talk about how you can write a new story. The Diamond Within the Heart programmes help you to understand yourself better, see what’s in your heart, what you are capable of, beyond any story that gets in the way of you having the life you want. Our Archetypes Mentoring programme helps you understand the different energies within you, to see how they get on with one another, or not, and gives you a blueprint for getting them to come together in harmony and achieve what you want in life.
When you accept all of who you are and focus on your strengths, when you can see and integrate the beliefs and fears that get in the way of you having a strong sense of value, you can move ahead in balance. You can embrace life rather than simply exist, thrive rather than survive!
In our monthly newsletter, we offer questions to ponder, tips to help deal with stress and change, news of any special offers we’re making. If you’d like to receive these, you can sign up here.
